I say Hello, and you say Goodbye

Everyone.... meet "Pearl"...... now say goodbye.

What was suppose to be a great experience to train and take part in the upcoming "Ride to Conquer Cancer" with my moma and Nikki. Did I mention it was suppose to be a big statement we were doing with mom before she turns 50.
Anyway, I bought it on Saturday, even drove 2 hours to get her for the best price.

So I bring Pearl (that's her name) home on the Sunday and I'm so excited to ride her to work. You know stretch her legs a little.

Well Tuesday came and the ride was smooth and refreshing, I'd also like to state officially for the record I made it 10 min faster then the last time I rode to work.

Right.... the Point.... I'm getting there ...

So 6 pm rolls around and I'm thinking the rain has stopped it's a perfect time to head home and finish my work there. So I get my helmet on and take the elevator down, call my husband to tell him I will see him in approx 40 min (I was so gonna boot it home and try to beat my morning record) And while in mid-sentence do I notice Pearl is no longer where I left her.

What the %$#@^
Who does that!!! Really!!!! You have got to b e kidding. Right

Nope, True story. FML (F My Life)

Anyway that's the story and in the short time that we had together I know we would have been best friends.
Pearl, my love..... I hope you make it. And I hope you are taken good care of.

Goodbye

What scum...sorry to hear about that Christy. I guess for going back and forth to work an old beater bike may deter a thief. Craigslist/Kijiji may be a good place to start. Are you going to get another Trek for the big race day? - Andy

I think I'm out of the race, the wallet isn't looking so good to spend anymore money on a bike. Sadly my ride days ended before they even really got a chance to start. :(

Thanks for the suggestions Andy you are a sweet man.

Cheers,
Chris
